Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the Nigerian man charged with the attempted Christmas Day bombing of Northwest Airlines flight 253, told FBI agents during his interrogation that others with training similar to his are now ready to launch their own attacks, according to ABC network news.

A report in the British Times for December 28 cited a claim attributed to a written statement released by an al Qaeda organization in the Arabian Peninsula that called on "the people of the Arabian peninsula" to attack U.S. military installations, ships, and "spying embassies."

A Reuters news report noted that an initial FBI analysis found the device contained PETN, also known as pentaerythritol, one of the explosives carried by "shoe bomber" Richard Reid in his failed attempt to blow up a U.S. passenger jet over the Atlantic in late 2001, mere months after the September 11 attacks. According to American intelligence officials, the bomb was built by — and the plan to bring down the Northwest Flight 253 was hatched by — known al Qaeda operatives based in Yemen.

U.S. Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R-Mich.), a member of the House Intelligence Committee, said: "I think it's very clear it came very, very close. The explosive device went off, it became an incendiary device instead of an explosive device, which is probably what saved that airplane."

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said in a statement issued after the attempt: "Had this alleged plot to destroy an airplane been successful, scores of innocent people would have been killed or injured. We will continue to investigate this matter vigorously, and we will use all measures available to our government to ensure that anyone responsible for this attempted attack is brought to justice."

After the bomb’s detonator failed to work, Abdulmutallab was seized by passengers and crew members aboard the flight, and treated for burns before being taken into custody. He was held in a federal prison in Milan, Michigan, according to the Associated Press, and is scheduled to appear in federal court in Michigan on January 8.

According to the Times, the failed attack came four days after a video was posted on radical Islamic websites showing an al Qaeda militant in Yemen warning: “We are carrying a bomb to hit the enemies of God.”

Journalist Joe Wolverton II asked in his article for The New American online entitled “Nigerian with al Qaeda Ties Attempts Airline Terrorist Attack”:

“Why — within fewer than two months — have there been two egregious fumbles on the part of the American security establishment, one of which [at Ft. Hood, Texas] resulted in the death of 13 and the wounding of more than thirty, and another that but for the quick and courageous action of civilians would have resulted in the death of hundreds on Christmas Day?”

Wolverton correctly observes:  “Controversial deprivations of privacy and embarrassingly intrusive security checkpoint searches will not answer this vital question and will not strengthen our security net that is already more than suspect.”

This writer could pose one more thought for consideration: Suppose the “deprivations of privacy and embarrassingly intrusive security checkpoint searches” were not implemented to correct the “fumbles on the part of the American security establishment,” but just the opposite? That is, what if the fumbles on the part of the American security establishment were allowed as a pretext to impose the extra security searches, among other erosions of our civil liberties?

It happened in Germany in 1933 following the burning of the Reichstag, when the Nazi government suspended most rights provided for by the 1919 constitution in the Reichstag Fire Decree.

Where are we seriously targeting alQaeda?

Why are we using so many troops in Iraq, when the alQaeda connections were known to be in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, which remain our friends? I appreciate the dvd on ShopJBS investigating the 9/11 connections with the Pakistani intelligence, as well as the news long before in The New American about the Bush family connections with the Carlyle group, of which the Saudi bin Laden's are a part.

TSA Terrorists

If you go to the video, titled "Exposing Terrorism," at http://www.shopjbs.org/index.p...sm-1.html, you will find out that some of the terrorists are employed by the airport security department itself.

I wonder why no one mentions this, when reporting that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was allowed on board with his contraband on his body.

And not for legitimate business purposes. Saudi prince Al-Waleed bin Talal - affiliated w/American Black panthers (and worse) primarily through Khalid Mansour (who is affiliated w/Ayers, Wright, Soros, Edward Said etc.) is most probably the man who bought, paid for and owns Obama.

When someone like the evil Al-Waleed demands payback, it could very well look like allowing terrorist strikes to proceed w/impunity (see Ft Hood)and releasing Guantanemo Bay terrorists as innocents. All of which would be in line w/Obama's vengeful intentions towards this country he has nothing but contempt for.

Lets remember there still exists Divine Intervention. God was not about to let any atheist devil worshipers succeed on Jesus's birthday. Sorry NWO, not this day!
