Have any of you noticed the "Tweet This" button (example at right) at the top of articles on JBS.org and TheNewAmerican.com? I hope so, and want to encourage everyone who has an account at Twitter to use this button. And if you don't have an account at Twiiter -- please create one ASAP because Twitter is the most powerful and easy to use marketting tool ever created. It is the single best way to spread the word about JBS.

Why is the Tweet This button so important? Simple: it ties to the TweetMeme service. TweetMeme is kind of like DIGG for Twitter, only because it works through Twitter, it is much more valuable than DIGG. When enough people, approximately 150, tweet JBS or TNA articles, TweetMeme puts the story on its front page where it gets great visibility, but more importantly, TweetMeme then retweets the story to its followers -- and TweetMeme has 34,800 followers. That's 34,000 people that will be exposed to JBS or TNA content, probably for the first time ever.

Therefore, if you really want to take your virtual Birching up a notch, get an account on Twitter (it's really easy) and start clicking on the TweetThis button on our articles. It will put our content in front of thousands of new eyes. There are now over 8,000 people in the JBS community. Let's try to work together to get JBS and TNA noticed on TweetMeme and on Twitter.

As an old, retired IT professional, I probably should be up on all this about "tweets" and "twitter" and such. I am not. It only makes me think about Sylvester and Tweety! I guess my experience with mainframes, mini's, PC internals, systems programming, etc. has left me unprepared for the world of social networking!

That said, I was able to set up an account and associate it with tweetmeme (and it IS easy). I have successfully "tweeted".  It was easy... even though I have absolutely no idea what I am doing. But if helps get the word out, I'm all for it!

Don't be intimidated just because you don't fully understand it. JUST DO IT.

Thanks for the help -- if we can get 150 people to do this with each of our articles, JBS and TNA exposure will go through the roof.

Thanks again for all your help!!

Just recently, February 21, 2010, I had an inspiration. Apparently, no-one knows how to fix the U.S. economy. The cause is extremely simple and, at the same time, extremely complicated. I'm a 70 year old Software Engineer so I know something about fixing problems. In order to fix a problem you have to find out what caused it. I studied the economic situation of today to figure out what caused the economy to start collapsing. Dropping the Gold Standard, although obviously unconstitutional, contributed but didn’t cause it. The "AH HA" moment was when the cause hit me, Soon after that, I figured out how to fix the economy of this nation. Even if I had the power to apply the fix, I wouldn't do it. I'm not telling anyone how to fix the economy because the people of the United States are getting exactly what they deserve. Genesis XVIII tells the story of how Abraham bargained with God for the number if righteous (people of integrity) from 50 to just 10 to save Sodom and Gomorrah. Evidently God couldn’t even find 10 righteous people because he destroyed the wicked cities. I can’t imagine them being any more wicked than the U.S. is today. God doesn’t speak to me, at least not the way he speaks to some people, or so they claim. I’m sure I will be able to tell when the U.S. is lost: Either when the government defaults on its debt or the inflation rate hits about 10%. I’ll reveal how to save the economy if ***** people who read this will Pay Pal send me $1.00 and only $1.00 (wmattison1940@att.net). Only God or the government can save our economy. Maybe God will send “The Messiah” (Jesus Christ again, according to the Christians) to save us from our own folly. As far as the government goes, apparently there is no one in Washington who has a clue what caused the collapsing economy let alone how to fix it

About 50 Mohave County residents weathered the cold and rain to attend the first 'Recall
Sockwell' meeting held at Veterans Park in Golden Valley on Sunday, March 7th
Many items were eagerly discussed regarding organizing the group and executing the
recall.
Roy Hagemyer, from Mohave Valley, who is running to replace Sockwell, spoke passionately about why he is ready to step in.
He stated that it is high time this county be represented by elected officials that will actually fulfill their oath to office by defending our State and US Constitution, someone who will actually care about representing the people they work for, and not forget they are public servants that are to
defend citizens individual rights.
Why We are recalling Sockwell:
1) Sockwell neglected to perform his duties according to Article 2, Section 2 of the AZ Constitution to protect & maintain individual rights of his constituents.
2) Sockwell Violated ARS 11-410 by allowing county resources & employees to influence the re-election of Sen. John McCain.
3) Sockwell denied citizens (under color of law) 1st & 14th amendment (at Sen. McCain Town Hall meeting) protected under the U.S. And AZ state Constitution.
4) Sockwell refused to return calls or e-mails from a taxpaying constituent regarding public business.
5) Sockwell used his position of office to intimidate and defame constituents through several County newspapers.
6) Sockwell voted for the latest unconstitutional County 'policies' that violate 1st, 2nd, &
4th Amendments.

I'll definitely start tweeting. But shouldn't we tweet in unison rather than have our tweets divided. Maybe we should restrict our tweets to TNA articles, to ensure they get maximum tweets. Freakin' tweet! I tot I taw a tweety tat!
